Yesterday, 07:14 PM5soko commented on article GAD Motors Stage 'VIP' tuned C190 AMG GT S vs. bolt on tuned AMG GT S in Mercedes-AMG Performance - Forums, Tuning, Racing, Parts, News, and MotorsportsNot surprising, GAD makes alot of power and does alot of changes in line with the modifications to work well. They are making enough money via Middle east and Russia, they aren't interesting in the USA or setting up shop here.2 replies | 215 view(s)

Yesterday, 01:39 PMEleventeen commented on article Tuning Game Changer? Haltech Nexus R5 in Automotive Performance - Forums, Tuning, Racing, Parts, News, and MotorsportsThis is not something that will be installed on tens of thousands of specific cars that will be easily identifiable as having this particular ECU. The chances that some hacker is going to identify your car as having this exact ECU and know exactly how to manipulate it are very slim. In fact, the mass produced factory ECU and security system you will probably be replacing with this module will be much more vulnerable to being compromised, because there are many more people out there familiar with stealing cars that have mass produced ECU’s.7 replies | 1154 view(s)

Yesterday, 09:25 AMSticky created an article Harrop Engineering develops Porsche 991 GT3 4.0 supercharger kit based around TVS1900 blower in Porsche Performance - Forums, Tuning, Racing, Parts, News, and MotorsportsFinally! A supercharger kit for the Porsche 911 GT3. Harrop Engineering designed this GT3 supercharger kit for the Porsche 991 generation 4.0 liter GT3 motor. Keep in mind the 991.1 GT3 features a 3.8 liter motor and we do not have confirmation on if this kit is for the entire 991 GT3 generation or just the 4.0 liter motors. Regardless, it is great to see the GT3 get boost in the form of a supercharger which will move the entire torque curve up. As this is a positive displacement blower, you get instant boost at any rpm. Will this make as much power as Gintani's GT3 turbo kit? No. But this will be easier to install, tune for, and likely cheaper. Not to mention it will compliment the GT3's powerband. A TVS1900 is the largest blower Harrop could fit and the packaging in the back of a Porsche GT3 is tight. We will have to see what kind of power it makes but on pump gas it should be in the 6XX wheel range. It will also be interesting to see if there is carryover to the 992 GT3. Great work from Harrop Engineering and PorscheBoost will bring your more details as soon as we have them.11 replies | 265 view(s)

Yesterday, 08:44 AMSticky created an article Another 700+ whp stock 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 on the Dynojet in Ford Performance - Forums, Tuning, Racing, Parts, News, and MotorsportsThe Dynojet numbers posted a few days ago showing the factory stock 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang with it 5.2 liter Predator V8 topping 700 horsepower to the rear wheels are no fluke. This one made 705 rwhp in STD correction on a Dynojet. Unfortunately no high resolution graph of the STD pull is shown but here it is in SAE correction showing 686 rear wheel horsepower: It's an absolute monster. A heavy monster.0 replies | 120 view(s)

Yesterday, 08:21 AMSticky created an article Cadillac abandoning alphanumeric naming scheme and going back to classic names starting in 2022 in Caddilac Performance - Forums, Tuning, Racing, Parts, News, and MotorsportsCadillac, please make up your mind already. We all know classic Cadillac names like Eldorado and DeVille. Something in the 2000's happened and Cadillac abandoned their classic naming scheme for a three letter based and now alphanumeric based scheme. You saw the CTS, STS, and ATS which recently gave way to the CT4, CT5, and CT6. What happened? BMW, Audi, and Mercedes are what happened. Cadillac tried to copy the German brands and it didn't work. Cadillac just could not settle on their own identity. They are now trying to go back and it makes you wonder who is making decisions over there. How is Cadillac supposed to succeed when nobody can even recall what cars they are making as the names change every other year? The only model we can really count on as serving any sort of foundation is the Escalade. No wonder it is the vehicle most people think of when they hear Cadillac.0 replies | 87 view(s)
